Well, I bet the guys are really sorry about that. Perhaps if they knew he felt that way, they would’ve brought a gun to the training and shot someone.

There are plenty of guesses as to why the transfer request was handed, but the fact is, they’ve brought it out to the public. He has lost a great deal of support. So the club rejected his request, they published it, they knew this would happen.

I don’t see the Torres song being sang at the next home game, perhaps just the Everton version.

I think it would’ve been as much of a mess if they’d just sold him out of the blue. The reactions a sudden sale of a key player would provoke, the fans would question the owners, etc. Now we’re questioning Torres, he’s running out of support, now selling him isn’t out of the blue, it is something a lot of people think should be done, and when he leaves we’ll settle for that being the correct move.

I’m beginning to see this as a way to prepare us for his departure. Although I am still very confused, I have no idea what will come out of this..

Just how much of themselves do you expect someone to give out for the colours they do not want to wear?

Torres has made a name for himself, he can cash in on another team’s spot in a league if he pleases. If he thinks the likes of Lampard and Drogba can make him a bigger star, then we should collect some Abramovich money and make him a Chelsea player. One who plays away at Anfield.

I am not content with Suarez being robbed of the spotlight, however. I hope Torres regrets this acutely.
